Marsha McGill

MCGILL- Marsha McGill, 70, a lifelong resident of the Albuquerque area, was called Home to her Lord and Savior, on Sunday, April 10, 2011. Mrs. McGill was born on April 6, 1941 to Robert “Stubby” and Lee Bess (McNeil) Stubblefield of Albuquerque, NM. She earned an Associates Degree from the University of New Mexico and practiced her gift as a dental hygienist with many, many patients. Mrs. McGill worked for several dentists, most notably with Dr. John Salazar. She treasured the one-on-one interaction with her patients. She will be remembered for her love for her family and for people. She especially enjoyed sharing the Gospel and the grace of salvation with others. Above all, she loved the Lord and had a deep abiding faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert “Stubby” Stubblefield, a pioneering aviator in Albuquerque, and Lee Bess Stubblefield; and a brother, Robert Stubblefield. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robin McGill, of Corrales, NM; son, Brian McGill and his wife, Janelle, of Buena Vista, CO; a daughter, Karen McGill, of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Jake and Josh McGill and Riley and Cash Daggett; a great-grandchild, Elijah McGill; a sister, Patsy Buza of Albuquerque, NM; and a niece and several nephews. A Viewing and Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 7601 Wyoming Blvd, Albuquerque. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 14, 2011 also at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque. Interment will follow at Sandia Memory Gardens, 9500 San Pedro NE, Albuquerque. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Samaritan’s Purse International Relief at www.samaritanspurse.org.
