“I yam what I yam, and that’s all that I yam!”…Marsh would quote Popeye…her modesty never allowing the possibility that she could be more precious than another. Those who knew her would disagree...
Marsha, born in Indiana, to a loving, close, and large family, was transplanted to New Mexico as a very young girl. Nature fascinated and infused her life! She studied literature, music, and art… she developed a keen eye through the lens of her always present…and only occasionally unwelcome…camera. Her favorite subject…and her love for them…shined in her pictures of children! She seldom allowed the camera or life to focus on her....
It was in her DNA to dig in the earth, plant and nurture the “growies”, and feed the critters that brightened her life every day! She lived a zippity-doo-dah life, at her home in the Manzanos, whistling and humming, surrounded by nature, family and friends who fueled her happiness and returned her love...she was especially delighted and inspired by the curiosity and imaginations of kids…she showed them arts and crafts and nature…sharing, patience and forgiveness…
She was easy to laugh and easy to love…that she will be missed barely scratches the surface....
