92, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 6, 2014. She was born in Wichita, KS on September 14, 1921 to John Randolf and Edith Beula (Witt) Clark. Martha was a long time resident of the San Antonio and the Socorro areas. She was an avid gardener, loved to sew, and made the best chocolate chip cookies. Martha was a member of the Socorro, the New Mexico State, the National Garden and also the National Council of State Garden Clubs . She held several offices in the Socorro club. She was Scrapbook chairman for several years and received many awards for her presentations. She also held various offices in the Socorro and the Valencia Extension clubs. Martha and James enjoyed teaching line and square dancing for many years. She loved to dance. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Orlando and George Clark; and her beloved sons, John Ralph and James Douglas Bonds. Martha is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, James T. Bonds; her devoted daughter, Alberta Meadows and husband, Marvin; her brother, Johnny C. Clark; her daughter in law, Janice Bonds; and many other loving family members and friends. Martha will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Randal; Edith; Cheryl; Lindsey; and Amy; and seven great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions and donations may be given in Martha's honor to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 1000 Goad, Socorro, NM 87801 or charity of choice.
