Age 91, died peacefully at home in Gilbert, Arizona, on Tuesday, September 30, 2014, surrounded by family. Martha was born April 21,1923, in Grenville, New Mexico, to George and Hallie (Mallow) Knudson. She spent most of her life in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she married Floyd H. “Babe” Rinehart on December 7, 1938. She managed a field office for Burke Marketing Research for 25 years. After her retirement from Burke, she continued to work for Research & Polling. In more recent years, she divided her time between Farmington, New Mexico, Fort Worth, Texas, Albuquerque and most recently, Gilbert, so that she could, in her own words, “torment all my children.” She will be especially remembered for her sharp wit and fierce dedication to her family. Martha loved entertaining family and friends in her home and was famous for her cooking and hospitality. She also enjoyed playing cards and games and spoiling her beloved pets. Above all, she demonstrated unconditional love as much as is humanly possible and will be greatly missed. Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, parents, three brothers, two sisters and a great-great-granddaughter. She is survived by five children; Floyd H. Rinehart, Jr. (Linda), Norman E. ”Gene” Rinehart (Doreen), Bernice Bradshaw (Mike), Denise Rinehart and John K. Rinehart (Janice); 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A joint memorial and graveside service will be held Saturday, October 25, at 2 pm at Sandia Memory Gardens, 9500 San Pedro Dr. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87113.
