Martha L. Romero

Martha L. Romero, age 86, surrounded by family, passed peacefully to be with Our Lord and Savior on September 1, 2020.

She was born to John Dwight and Maria Pilar Lamberson on April 23, 1934 in Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved siblings, including brother Raymond Lamberson and sisters, Lucy Gallegos and Polly Kassicieh. Martha was devoted to her family including children, Tedd Romero (Judy), Cynthia  Romero, Tim Romero (Brenda) and Dean Romero (Leeann), grandchildren Nicole, Kyle, Ryan, Chelsea, Cody, Garrett, Joni, Briana and Marina, and 10 great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She retired from Mountain Bell/US West  in 1992, after 25 years of service. Martha loved her church and served as a faithful Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister who spent many years praying with and providing Holy Communion to those in hospitals, nursing homes or otherwise homebound individuals unable to attend services in person. She also enjoyed Swedish weaving and created several beautiful blankets for her family. She loved to garden and participated in many community causes throughout her lifetime.

Recitation of the Rosary will be Tuesday, September 8, 2020, 6:00 pm at Daniels Funeral Home, 7601 Wyoming NE, Albuquerque, NM. Reception will follow the rosary.

Mass of Resurrection will be Wednesday, September 9, at 9:00 am at St. Joseph’s on the Rio Grande, 5901 St. Joseph’s Dr. NW, Albuquerque, NM.
