Lopez, Martin  
Age 65, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 in Albuquerque, NM with his family by his side. He was born in Magdalena, NM  on July 11, 1949, to Miguel and Mariana Otero Lopez. Martin grew up in Magdalena and graduated from Magdalena High School. He has been employed for the past 35 years for the National Radio Astronomy Observatory. Martin enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, playing horseshoes, camping and especially loved spending time with his family and the hunting trips they used to take together. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and his family always came first ahead of everything else.  Martin will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Joey Lopez.  Martin is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Josie Simish Lopez; his  sons, Tony Lopez and wife, Debra, Mike Lopez and wife, Kim, and Andy Lopez; grandchildren: Antoinette, Lane, Isaac, Adam, Mathew and Drew; and a great granddaughter, Reighlyn.  The Holy Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 9:30 am and the Mass of Resurrection will be at 10:00 am, both at the San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real, Socorro with Father Andrew Pavlak as Celebrant. Inurnment will be in the Magdalena Cemetery immediately following. Martin's care has been entrusted to
