Marvin Floyd Ryals of Albuquerque, NM passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014 at the age of 83. Marvin was born in Castleberry, Alabama on April 25, 1930. Marvin served in the US Army and is a veteran of the Korean War. After retiring from the Army at Ft. Bliss, Texas, he moved to Albuquerque where he was a long-haul truck driver for William Thomas Trucking. He is predeceased by his brothers Lawrence Jr, Curtis, and Marlin. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Antonia Carrasco Ryals. They were married at St. Patrick's Cathedral in El Paso, TX. His five children and their spouses: Ernestina Ryals Vasquez and her husband Daniel, Marvin Ryals and his wife Katherine, Rosa Laurie Martinez and her husband Dan, Norma Jaramillo and her husband Ed, and Ricardo Ryals and his wife Lorraine. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, as well as his brother, Loyd Earl Ryals; and sister, Christine Hinton. A Viewing will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 12 pm at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church located at 5303 Phoenix Ave NE in Albuquerque, followed by a Rosary at 12:30 pm and a Funeral Mass at 1:00 pm. Interment is Friday, March 14, 2014 at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso, TX at 1:30 pm.
