Atencio, Mary Lou - born October 12, 1959 in Albuquerque, NM. Departed on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at the age of 61. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross Atencio; parents, Ernesto and Emilia G. Jaramillo; sisters, Elba Garcia and Deluvina Gutierrez; grandchildren, Carlos Atencio and Baby Atencio.

Mary Lou is survived by her two children, Marla Atencio and Eric Atencio and wife, Gabby. She is also survived by brothers: Rudy Jaramillo and David Jaramillo; sisters, Corina Garcia, Annie Griego-Espinosa and Gloria Jaramillo; four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mary Lou worked for many years at Walmart, Valero Stations and Isleta Casino. She was a member of La Mesa Presbyterian Church and was a member of San Ignacio Spanish Choir and Rosary Group for many years. She enjoyed spending time with family, camping and softball games. She loved to dance, sing and listen to all types of music. For the holidays she loved to make her favorite dishes like Natias, Cracker Pudding, mashed potatoes and she made the best refried beans.

Mary Lou was loved by so many friends and family members. She will be missed so much by everyone who knew her.
