Age 84, passed away Wednesday, November 18. She was born July 30, 1931 in Alliance, NE to James and Margaret Fowler. She was raised on a farm/ranch on the Niobrara River south of Hay Springs, NE. She married Ted Bixler Sept. 3, 1948. They had 4 sons, Terry, Michael, Marty and Joel. She married Ben Morrison in 1990. She earned her nursing degree and practiced nursing at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, NM for 30 years. In retirement she enjoyed playing bridge and staying active in her church.
She was preceded in death by husbands Ted Bixler and Ben Morrison. She is survived by her sons and their wives; Terry (Ann) of Denver, Co, Mike (Carolyn) of Aztec, NM, Marty and Joel of Denver and brother Paul (Peg) of Albuquerque along with 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Mary is also survived by Ben’s children, Tracy, Ben Jr., Belinda Dillon; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Services will be held December 5, 10:00 am at the Carlisle Chapel. Graveside services will be held in late spring at the Hay Springs cemetery. The family asks you to consider a donation to Presbyterian Health Foundation, PO Box 26666, Albuquerque, NM 80125, Attn.
