Chavez, Cathy Mary
Age 61, beloved mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, was embraced by the Lord and taken to her heavenly home Thursday, July 5, 2012. She was born in Las Vegas, NM and was a resident of Albuquerque. Cathy enjoyed traveling and watching movies. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gregorio Chavez; and her father, Marion Ortega. Cathy is survived by her loving sons, Greg Chavez and wife Katrina, Al Chavez and wife Teresa; her precious grandchildren, Greggy, Deliah, Jesus, Harmony, Bella, Romeo and Faith. Also surviving are her mother, Ruby Ortega; her siblings, Cleo Davis and husband Russ, Abel Ortega and wife Gloria, Michael Ortega and Cheryl, Eloy Ortega and wife Sadie, Chuck Thomas and wife Mabel, Lawrence Ortega; and other numerous relatives and friends. Cathy will be greatly missed by all. A Rosary to be recited Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth Street NW. Service of Christian Burial will be Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 9502 Fourth Street NW. Inurnment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
