Mary Lauretta Dickey

Mary Lauretta Dickey passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the age of 93 peacefully at home. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim Dickey, son Gary Johnson, granddaughter Roberta Bollinger, great grandchildren Angel Bollinger and Daniel Hull, and great great grandson Cornell Powell. Mary is survived by daughter, Laurel Boutwell (Tom) and son Craig Johnson (Brigitte) ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. She was a resident of Albuquerque since 1951, and retired from the Presbyterian Synod Office  after thirty five years of service with the Presbyterian Church. Lauretta was active in BPW, VFW, UVC, DAV/DAVA, NM Veterans Memorial, Pearl Harbor Survivors, and a very active member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church.  She was also a founding member of the Alb. SOLO Club. She was awarded the wall of fame at Coronado Center in 1994. She also received many awards from multiple organizations for outstanding service. Lauretta was very devoted to all active service and veteran organizations up to the day before her passing.  She was loved and will be dearly missed by many people.  A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 2:00pm at the Covenant Presbyterian Church at 9315 Candelaria Rd. NE Albuquerque, NM 87112 with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be given in Mary's honor to DAV Unit 32 P.O.
