Mary "Domie" Salas

Salas, Mary Domitilia "Domie"
Age 69, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 10, 2016 in Rio Rancho, NM. She was born in Magdalena, NM on December 18, 1946, to  Lorenzo Carrillo and Ignacia Salas. Domie was a very special lady. She was a very hard worker and enjoyed being around people. She was a sweet and giving person and always made friends easily. Domie was strong in her faith and very devoted to her family. She was a great cook and never forgot any of her family's birthdays or anniversary. She worked for the US Forest Service out of Albuquerque from 1965 to 1970. She returned home to Magdalena and worked for the Forest Service and retired after 38 years of service.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Nora Carrillo and Geneva Gagner.  Domie is survived by brothers, Ruben N. Carrillo and wife, Rose and  Jerry L. Carrillo; her companion of 29 years, Nestor Gonzales;  nephews, Jeremiah Carrillo, Nicholas Carrillo and wife, Rhonda, and Orlando Lopez; niece, Annette Lopez; and many friends.  The Holy Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at 9:30 am at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Magdalena with the Mass of Resurrection to follow at 10:00 am.  Celebrant Father John Anasiudu.  Burial will take place at Magdalena Cemetery following service.  Pallbearers will be Nicholas Carrillo, Jose "Bobo" Gutierrez, Anthony Gutierrez, Paul Tafoya, Bobby Gomez, and Henry Zamora.  Honorary pallbearers are Rose Carrillo, Rhonda Carrillo, Jennifer Gonzales and all of Domie's friends and relatives.
