Mary James DuBoise

DuBoise died Feb. 2, 2010, in Jones Ranch. She was born Aug. 15, 1922, in Jones Ranch, into the Sleeping Rock People Clan for the One Who Walks Around People Clan. DuBoise was a resident of Jones Ranch. She was a rancher, silversmith and rug weaver. She did storm pattern designs and diamond designs. DuBoise was an active member of the Spring Valley Fellowship church and a member of the Chichiltah Chapter. Survivors include her sons, Johnnny DuBoise, James DuBoise, Fred DuBoise, all of Jones Ranch; daughters, Ella Mae Young, Alice DuBoise, Louise King, all of Jones Ranch; Helen Benally of Valley View; 32 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren. DuBoise was preceded in death by her son, J.B. DuBoise; Jr. DuBoise; daughter, Grace Taylor, Winnie Golow; one grandson. Pallbearers will be Fredrick DuBoise, James DuBoise Jr., Arnold DuBoise, Andrew DuBoise, Randy Young, Emmanuel Benally.
