Mary Martha Garcia - Wallace

Mary Martha Garcia-Wallace passed away on January 10, 2017 unexpectedly at her home in Santa Fe, NM. Martha was born on May 17, 1936 in Santa Fe, NM, to Stella Gonzales Valdez and Faustine Garcia. She attended St. Francis School Loretto Academy and graduated from Santa Fe High in 1955. She graduated from St Vincent School of Nursing. She practiced nursing in Santa Fe, then moved to Albuquerque. She worked at various hospitals in the nursing field. She was a great nurse. Martha worked Carrie Tingley Hospital and retired from there. Martha moved back to Santa Fe, to be with her children, Verna and Danny Wallace.
Martha was preceded in death by her mother, Stella Valdez and her step father, Joe Valdez and father Faustine Garcia and Zachary.
She is survived by her 2 children, Verna Wallace and Dan Wallace. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren, also her brothers; Art (Rosina), Bill (Kathy) and sisters; Virginia (Bernie), Florinda (Bob) and Angie Clark of Seattle, Washington; step sisters; Connie Valdez, Barbara (Al), of Seattle, WA, Joe Valdez Jr. and Donald Valdez of Albuquerque, NM.
Arrangements and Celebration of Life Services will be held at a later date in Santa Fe, NM at Rosario Cemetery.
