Mary Gloria (Krans) Giles, Age 93, passed away on November 13, 2015. Gloria, the daughter of Wanda and John, was born on March 31, 1922, in Chicago, Illinois. Gloria married Robert Leo Giles, in Chicago, on June 23, 1945. Gloria and Robert, who was employed by the National Park Service, lived in various places including Zion National Park, Utah; Mesa Verde National Park and Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado; Big Bend National Park, Texas; Saguaro National Park, Arizona and Regional Offices in Santa Fe, New Mexico and Omaha, Nebraska.
Gloria is survived by her four daughters, Patricia (Michael) Pierotti, Mary Ellen (Charles) Freyermuth, Deborah (Tom) Rauner, Maureen (Craig) Blackhall, her two sons, Dennis (Terese) Giles and Robert Jr. (Kathryn) Giles, ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother John, and husband of 68 years, Robert.
Gloria spent her days raising their children, managing their home and volunteering. Gloria volunteered for the Red Cross, at Lovelace Medical Center and was a Saint Vincent de Paul Society volunteer and office assistant for Risen Savior Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, Daniels Family Funeral Services-Wyoming Chapel with the Rosary to follow at 7:00 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Risen Savior Catholic Church, 7701 Wyoming Blvd NE followed by entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd NE.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Felix Pantry, Rio Rancho, NM.
