Gonzales, Mary  
Age 90, passed away Monday, September 26, 2016 in Albuquerque, NM. She was born in Socorro, NM on June 21, 1926, to Juan  and Francesquita Cuellar Sarate. Mary lived a very humble and modest life. She was never one to want or need for anything extravagant. Mary was content with the love of her husband and children, making a home for all of them. She was always there for her grandchildren, helping take care of them when they were young. Mary was a very strong willed woman even all the way up to her last days! She lived her life on her terms, no one could tell her any different. She was always the care giver, taking care of her husband and daughter to their life's end. She was not one that was used to being taken care of and it took awhile to get used to the idea of someone else taking care of her. She enjoyed the very simple things in life like word search puzzles, or eating her graham crackers. It took so little to make her content. Mary was always looking forward to the day she would be united with her loved ones in heaven. Well, nana you got your wish! You are with them in eternal peace! May God bless your soul nana and keep you in peace.   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tony Gonzales; daughter, Teresita Gonzales; brothers, Leo  Sarate,  Barney Sarate, and Tom Sarate.  Mary is survived by sons, Gil Gonzales and wife, Susan, and David Gonzales and wife, Kathy; brother, Stanley Sarate and wife, Betty; grandchildren, Aaron Gonzales, Stephanie Gonzales, Daniele Sweet and husband, Cory; and Matthew Gonzales and wife, Tehani; great-grandchildren, Marlie Gonzales, Oliver Gonzales,  Ezra Gonzales . Rosary to be recited on Friday, September 30, 2016, at 8:30 am at San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real , Socorro with the Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 9:00 am,  Celebrant Rev. John Anasiudu.  Burial will take place at the San Miguel Catholic Cemetery  following service. Pallbearers will be Gary Jaramillo, Matt Gonzales, Anthony Montoya, Tommy Sarate, Justin Sarate, Lawrence Mirabal.  Honorary pallbearers are Stanley Sarate, Aaron Gonzales, Michael Sarate, Marlene Rivera.
