Mary L. Higginson

Mary L. Higginson, 78, of Farmington, passed from this life on Monday, September 1, 2008 due to a lengthy respiratory illness. She was born December 2, 1929 in Hamlin, Texas. She lived most of her life in Farmington. She was an avid outsdoors woman who enjoyed fishing, camping and waterskiing. She worked out of her home as a seamstress and also did quilting. Mary was the "Sunshine Girl" of 3 Rivers Sams R.V. Club. She was a member for almost fifteen years. She enjoyed playing cards with her camping friends. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Gene Higginson, a daughter, Cathy Branson of Arizona, step-daughters Carol Wheeler of Illinois, Bobbi Brown of Indiana and a sister, Frieda Banks of Texas, a brother Edward Patterson and wife Carolyn of Oklahoma, a sister-in-law Shelby Motley of Farmington and four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy Motley, a sister, Lucille Frazier, a niece Sherry Motley and a grandson, Jason Branson. Pallbearers will be Darrel Brown, Vern Williams, Fran Springer, Ray Garcia, Mike Alexander, and Charles Stevens. Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Motley, Terry Motley and all the members of 3 Rivers Sams R.V. Club.Mary is in the care of Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home
