Mary Ann Lindsey 55, a native resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away in her home on Sunday May 6, 2018. She is survived by her wife, Tracy L. Lindsey; her six children, Darlene Lindsey, Joseph C. Drummond, Athea, Phillip, Paula, and Jessica Gurule. Including nine siblings: Cleotha, Edward, Don, Dan, Larry, Robert, Chuck, Joe, Estella Lindsey, and a host of extended relatives. Mary, was a charismatic, intelligent, beautiful, lady. Her smile illuminated the darkest trials. She was the owner of many gifts, talents, and trades. For example: Her fluency in Spanish was overwhelmingly impressive, and highly admired. One can only wish to indulge in that type of confidence and sophistication, even for just a moment, like a child exploring curiosity by dipping their tiny hand into a pond for the first time, and touching the soft, slippery, gills of a koi fish. Wow! The sweet indulgence! Nevertheless, her ashes will be spread across the beautiful, Red River, which is located North of Taos, NM, and will be performed in July. Please refer back to this webpage for future updates. All is welcome to join in the celebration of this phenomenal Woman’s life. She has defined a true allegorical statement in her life, and within her death. We consider the spreading of her ashes into the Red River, as a symbolic representation of liberation from suffering. Red representing stop, and the river, symbolizing the flow of life, yet her life continues through those she has touched. She will always be remembered.
“We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord”.
