Mary Jane Martin

Martin, Mary Jane Beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister and friend passed away peacefully at home in the presence of her loving family on November 3, 2013. She was born on April 19, 1943 in Los Lunas, New Mexico. She spent most of her childhood in El Cerro, New Mexico and graduated from Los Lunas High School in 1961. Mary Jane was loved and admired for her generous, effusive, and energetic nature. She was always creating lovely scrapbooks for her grandchildren and meticulously remembering to send birthday and holiday cards to everyone that was near and dear to her. Mary Jane cared deeply, sincerely, and enthusiastically for all of those who were lucky enough to be touched by her wonderful presence and her amazing smile. She also loved to travel widely from Europe to South America. She had a wonderful sense of adventure. Overall, it was her profound and abiding faith in God that inspired so much of what made her so unique and loveable. She is survived by her husband Carlos; her four daughters, Felicia, Sarah, Jacqueline, and Tara; her five grandchildren, Dylan, Haley, Jared, Cecilia, and Chloe and son-in-law Mark. She is also survived by her sister Nora and Meg and her two brother-in-laws Jimmy, and Terry. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Daniels Family Funeral Services Carlisle Chapel. Funeral service to be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the Carlisle Chapel, with interment to follow at 2:15 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
