Age 77, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at her home in Magdalena, NM. She was born in Dusty, NM on February 6, 1939, to Luie and Opal (McCauley) Morgan. Mary attended school up through the eighth grade in Dusty and finished her high school education in California. Mary has been a resident of Magdalena since 1977 where she and her husband Aubrey owned and operated the Big 6 oil distributorship. She enjoyed crocheting and she used to volunteer at the local food bank. Mary adored her kids and grandchildren and nothing gave her greater pleasure than to spend time with them. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Aubrey Melton; her brother-in-law, Henry George; sister-in-law, Suzanne Morgan; brothers, Patrick Morgan and John Leonard Morgan; Mary is survived by daughters, Doshia (J. R.) Lozano, Shari Fritz, and Shawna (Paul) Savedra; son, John Patrick Adams; sister, Lora George; brother, Frank Morgan; grandchildren, Sammy Adams, Michael Tinsley, Kiel Adams, Maddie Adams, Travis Berg, Chase Dustin, Kristie Berg, Cole Dustin, Seth Gustafson, Teya Gustafson, Weylin Melton, Logan Melton, Aubrea Melton, and Kadance Lozano . Services will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016, 11:00 am, at First Baptist Church of Magdalena , 902 Kelly Street, Magdalena with Rev. Paul Holt officiating. Interment to follow at Magdalena Cemetery, Magdalena. Pallbearers will be Weylin Melton, Logan Melton, Pat Adams, J.R. Lozano, Henry George, Brent McKinley.
