Mary Jane Mendoza (Tafoya)

Mendoza-Mary Jane (Tafoya) Mendoza, born February 8, 1928, passed away September 2, 2009. A lifelong resident of Albuquerque, she graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1946. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Mendoza, daughters; Mary Evangeline (Sandoval) Trujillo and husband Patrick, Patricia G. Sandoval of Massachusetts, son; Fernando Sandoval II and wife, Patricia Bloise of Bolivia, sisters; Rebecca Kingery and fianc�?© Manual Carbajal, and Lucille Wolfe and brothers; Trinidad Lopez and wife Dolores, and Thomas Lopez. She leaves eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Ernest Sandoval II, and granddaughter Heather (Sanchez) Wrzeszinski. She was most proud to have been an Albuquerque High Bulldog and of being the niece of the late Senator Dennis Chavez (D-US Senate: 1935 - 1962).
