Mary Theresa Saiz

Mary Theresa Saiz, 81, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on March 9, 2024, peacefully in her home in Albuquerque. She was born on October 11, 1942, to her late parents, Jose and Josephine Piro.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Jose I. Saiz, sister Stella Silva, and grandson, Jesse I Chavez. 

Mary was a loving and peaceful soul who brought joy to all who knew her. Mary enjoyed arts and crafts, spending her time creating beautiful pieces, and found solace in Bible study and attending church services. Her faith was an integral part of her life; she had a very strong faith and loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart. Her faith guided her actions and interactions with others.

She is survived by her daughters, Rita Saiz and Elizabeth Dunning; her granddaughters: Daisy Robles and husband Rogelio Robles, Veronica Abeita and husband Bruce Abeita, and Josephine Dunning and husband Albert Marquez; as well as 11 great-grandchildren. Mary will be deeply missed by her family and friends. 

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Iglesia Sol De Justicia, located at 2703 Broadbent Pkwy NE, Suite E, Albuquerque, NM 87107; followed by interment at 1:00 PM at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102. Pallbearers will be: Rogelio Robles, Rogelio Robles Jr, Jesse Chavez Jr, Albert Marquez, Bruce Abeita, and Paul Chavez.  

Mary's kindness and loving spirit will forever be remembered by those whose lives she touched. May she rest in peace.
