Age 91, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2015. He was born in Seagraves, TX on February 17, 1924, to James and Ora B (Crews) Eldridge. He lived in the Bernalillo and Jemez Springs areas most of his life. Mutt was a WWII Navy Veteran. After the war, he came back to his home area where he worked with the New Mexico Lumber and Timber Company in Bernalillo. Mutt then started his own welding business and became a premiere welder As a master welder, fabricator and engineer, Mutt was frequently sought out for advice and assistance even after his retirement. Mutt was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers and sisters: Grady, DeLois, Dick, Mildred "Sis",Garth, Bill, Mary, Bessie, L.O. and Ora Mae. Mat is survived by his wife of 48 years, Margaret J. Eldridge of Bernalillo, NM, Children: Troy Miller and Diane Landis, JoAnn Fitzpatrick and Richard McAvoy, Skipper Cain and husband Jerry, Dan Miller and wife Carol, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a brother, Sam Eldridge. A Memorial Services will be Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 10:30am at Daniels Family Funeral Services Sara Rd.(and Meadowlark Lane) Chapel.
