Matilde Sanchez-Griego

GRIEGO - Matilde Sanchez Griego, age 77, born June 5, 1933, was called home by our Heavenly Father, on Wednesday, June 1, 2011. Matilde was born in Cuba, NM and was a longtime resident of Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Sanchez. Matilde is survived by her brother, Delfin Sanchez and his wife Mary; as well as many family members and friends that loved her dearly. She is best known for her laugh and her love for arts and crafts. Visitations will be Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services-Alameda Mortuary and again from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Cuba, NM, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church. Casket Bearers will be members of Los Guadalupanos. Interment will follow at the Cuba Catholic Cemetery.
