Max R. Springer

SPRINGER - Max R. Springer 78, rode off into the sunset for the last time on July 24, 2009 after a long illness. He moved to Albuquerque in the early 1950's where he played and taught guitar for 18 years. In the late 1960's he changed careers and became a piano tuner / technician. Twenty years ago he moved to Valencia County eventually settling in Belen where he was an avid horse lover and raised Paint Horses. Max was preceded in death by both parents and older brother Gene. He is survived by his two sons, David Springer and his wife Janice of Albuquerque and Danny Springer of T or C, NM, one granddaughter Lisa Springer and two great - grandchildren Savannah and Mark. He is also survived by his brother Dale Springer and wife Sue of Van Wert, Ohio as well as numerous nephews and nieces. The family would like to thank Max's friends for being there for him during his final years. Special thanks to the wonderful people from Amber Care Hospice as well as Bee Hive Homes and Camino Retirement Apartments for making his last days as comfortable as possible.
