Maxine D. Metz

Metz, Maxine D. Maxine died early Sunday, February 19, 2012, only three weeks before her eighty fifth Birthday. She was born in 1927 in Texarkana, Texas, and moved to Albuquerque with her son, David, in 1946. Maxine had also lived in Los Alamos and was the Sandia Corporation Receptionist in Building 800 from 1955 to 1966. She was married to Elwood Metz who died in 1959 and to Claude Hempen, who died in 1996. Maxine is survived by her son, David Metz, daughter-in-law, Mary Metz, and also locally by nephew, Michael McCollum, and by several nieces and nephews in other states.
