Mares, May Age 71, a resident of Albuquerque since 1971, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012. She was born in Tapictoes, NM on June 16, 1940, to Juan and Carmen Valdez. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, William T. Mares. May is survived by daughters, Kathy Gonzales and husband, Phil, Millie Mares, Anita Herrera and husband, Erwin and Jeanie Mares; son John Mares; 12 grandchildren, Athena, Roxanne, Mariah, Rebekkah, Thomas, Richard, Nicolas, Analicia, Andrea, Annamarie, Anjuli, Audrey; five great grandchildren, Diandra, Dominic, Gabriel, Desiree, Alena and her faithful companion Fred Austin. Visitation to be held on Monday, February 13, 2012, from 6:00-7:00p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Coal Chapel, 1100 Coal Ave SE, Albuquerque with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW, Albuquerque.
