Medardo Romero

Romero, Medardo Age 86, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2013. He was born on March 17, 1927 to Laudes and Eulalia (Samora) Romero of Vadito, NM. Mr. Romero served our country in the US Army during World War II. He retired from the USDA Forest Service where he served 32 years as a Civil Engineering Technician and was instrumental in developing the La Luz Trail. He was, also a member of NARFE. Mr. Romero is survived by his wife of 62 years, Edulia (Mascarenas) Romero, of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, JoAnn Risinger and husband, James, of Albuquerque, NM; three grandchildren, James Risinger, Steven Risinger, and Barbara Martinez; five great-grandchildren, Jacob, Madisson, Shelby, Kathryn and Valentina; siblings, Andy Romero, Edumenia Pacheco, Luciano Romero, Eli Romero and Laudesz Romero; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. A Prayer Service will be held at 5:00 PM on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Daniels Family Funeral Services - 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, December 13, 2013, also at Daniels Family Funeral Services - 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho. Interment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park.
