Megan Ann Woodworth

WOODWORTH - Megan Ann Woodworth, 51, died Thursday, February 25, 2010. She was born August 30, 1958 in Malone, NY, the daughter of (Charles) Joseph and Florilda (Boyer) McGuire. Megan is survived by her devoted husband of 16 years, Gary of Edgewood, NM; her parents of Malone, NY, brother, Terrance M. McGuire and wife Marianne of West Seneca, NY and her nieces and nephews; Katie, Kevin - Terry’s children and Shamus and Erin - Patrick’s children. She was preceded in death by her brother, Patrick in 2008. Megan graduated from high school in Malone, NY and completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from SUNY-Potsdam. Later, she followed her true passion and pursued a career as a chef. Megan graduated from the Culinary Institute of American in Hyde Park, near New York City. She then worked in various restaurants in the New York area. She had an exceptional talent; her understanding of food went far beyond craft. She and Gary eventually moved to New Mexico where she served as the chef for Acantilado Vista, then started her own catering business, Your Place or Mine. While realizing her dream of a successful business; she became ill and was forced to retire. Megan also loved all animals and always had dogs in her life.
