Bishop, Melanie S. 

Melanie S. Bishop, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away at the age of 63 on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Presbyterian Hospital with her daughter and sister by her side. Melanie was born in Fort Hood, TX on February 6, 1956, to Ovid C. Dill and Betty L. Martin. She attended school at Hamilton High School in Hamilton, Texas graduating in 1974. She went on to attend Temple Texas Junior College earning her Medical Laboratory Technology degree in 1976 and pursued a career as a Laboratory Technician. During this time, Melanie married her high school sweetheart and husband of 42 years Mark C. Bishop on September 4, 1976 in Hamilton, Texas.

Throughout her life, Melanie enjoyed beading, jewelry making, Genealogy, her pet Schnauzers, traveling, especially to Red River, NM, and most of all spending time with her family and her 3 grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ovid C. Dill and Betty L. Martin.

Melanie is survived by her husband, Mark C. Bishop; daughter, Megan Goodman; son-in-law, Thomas Goodman; grandchildren, Hayden Goodman, Ryatt Goodman, and Locklon Goodman; sister, Mary Alice Clark; niece, Vespa Tyson.

Private Services for family and friends will be announced at a later date.
