MELISSA ANN BENEVEGNA

Melissa Ann Benevegna, born in Brooklyn, New York 1971, and a resident of Rio Rancho, New Mexico since 1978, died Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Presbyterian Rust Hospital. She is survived by her parents Salvatore and MaryLou Benevegna of Rio Rancho and brother David Benevegna and wife Katrina Polhamus, Rosalie Hope Benevegna, niece, and Jonah Monroe Benevegna, nephew all of Hudson, Ohio. She was a 1989 graduate of Cibola HS and a graduate of New Mexico State University in 1995 majored in Business Administration/Business Computer Systems. Her 20 years in this industry took her to cities across the US as well as countries in Europe, China, and Japan. In 2014 Melissa established Thunderbird Property Management and Realty Company located in Albuquerque, NM.  Melissa was a Chi Omega (Pi Delta Chapter) sorority sister at NMSU, a member of BNI (Business Networking International), board member of All Faiths Childrens Advocacy Center, member of National Association of Residential Property Managers, Albuquerque chapter, member of National Association of Professional Women and a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Rio Rancho.

Services will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church located at 1502 Sara Rd., Rio Rancho on Friday, Sept 1 beginning with recitation of the Rosary at 10 a.m. followed by celebration of the Mass at 10:30 a.m.
