Merle Melvin Elliott

ELLIOTT- Merle Melvin Elliott, age 89 a resident of Albuquerque since the age of 17, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2011. Merle was a life member of the American Legion, a veteran of WWII, Navy. Merle enjoyed spending time at the senior centers. Merle is preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Laura Elliott; one son, Don Elliott; siblings, Irma, Clyde, Opal, Hugh Jr., Lola, Pat, and Edith. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Julia Elliott; nine children, Lucille Vigil (Fred), Roberta Broughton (David), Cecilia Salazar (Chris), Merle Elliot Jr., Anthony M. Elliott, Roy Elliott, Anthony Bearsley (Chris), Shirley Peralta (Anthony), Lisa Gill (Michael), nine additional extended family members; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Daniels Family Funeral Services Palm Chapel, 1100 Coal Ave. SE. with a Funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Merle’s care has been entrusted to: Daniels Family Funeral Services 1100 Coal Ave SE Albuquerque, NM 87106 505-842-8800
