Michael Anthony Martinez

We are very sad to announce the passing of our beloved family member, Michael Anthony Martinez. He passed away on June 10, 2024, at the age of 68.

Michael was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on April 1,1956 to Ben and Katherine Martinez; third oldest of seven children. He graduated from Del Norte High School class of 1974. He worked for Borden Dairies and then went on to working in a multi-family business as a maintenance supervisor.

Michael was a loving son, brother, and uncle and a caring person in so many ways. He cared for his parents until their passing. He loved his family, his friends, his dogs, cats, and feeding birds. He loved his nephews before his friends and would take them riding on his dirt bike and taught them auto mechanics. He had a love for music, especially Elvis Presley and saw him in concert. He loved watching movies and had a large collection of VHS tapes. Also, kept a lot of things old school with a collection of records and family heirlooms. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle with his friends and cooking.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ben L. Martinez, and his mother, Katherine R. Martinez.

He is survived by his brother, Benny L. Martinez (April); his sisters, Kathy R. Carrillo (Greg), Susan L. Romero (Mike), Julie A. Romero, Cynthia G. Fresquez (Joe), and Melissa J. Martinez, nine nephews, three nieces, numerous grand nephews, and nieces.

Michael will be deeply missed but remembered in our hearts forever.
