Michael Brett Benson

On December 16th, 2017, Michael Brett Benson, born January 17, 1958 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, was called home at the young age of 59 to be with his Lord. Brett was raised in Clinton, Missouri where he graduated from Clinton High in 1976. Brett moved to Albuquerque and attended the University of New Mexico where he earned a degree in Business. He was an honest and successful business owner for 30 years. He loved the outdoors, hunting, experiencing new places, animals and music. Family was paramount to Brett, evidenced by the amount of time and deep affection he shared with them; his giving spirit apparent to strangers and loved ones alike. Brett approached life with confidence, patience, love, faith and integrity. Brett was a devoted son and caregiver to his parents, a loving big brother to his sisters, and an exceptionally wonderful uncle and father figure to his nieces. Brett is preceded in death by his younger sister Kathleen Marie Benson. He is survived by his parents: Charles and Inez (Martinez) Benson, sisters: Sharon and Patricia Benson, his nieces: Kristen Benson, Kamri-Benson-Lucero and Bryana Estrada, as well as, his great nephew and best buddy Abram Listy.  Brett left an indelible mark on the hearts of many and will forever be remembered.

Services to be held December 29, 2017 at San Ysidro Church, 5015 Corrales Rd, Corrales, NM, 87048. Rosary at 9:00am, Mass to follow at 10:00am.
