Davies, Michael David Age 54, passed away Monday, May 14, 2012. He was born in Manhim, Germany on August 2, 1957, to David and Beatrice Green Davies. He was a member of Grant Chapel AME Church. Michael was a NM State Police Officer, he worked for Santa Ana Police, Bernalillo County Sheriff Department, and Albuquerque Police Department. Special accomplishments he achieved was working with the Bomb Squad for NM State Police, Homicide Detective State Police, body guard for Honorable Governor Tony Anaya, and worked for the Metropolitan Court. Michael was a 4th degree black belt. He belonged to the Blue Knights, NM Stock Car Emergency Crew, as well as owned and taught at Samurai Mike's Martial Arts. He enjoyed camping. Michael traveled extensively to compete in the US Karate Alliance, and Tournament Circuit at a national level. He will be nationally ranked by USKA, second place in Men's Black Belt Sparing. Michael placed first in Forms and Sparing in USKA Men's Division, and was posthumously promoted to 5th degree black belt. He was preceded in death by his father, David M. Davies. Michael is survived by his son, David Michael Lewis Davies of Albuquerque, his mother, Beatrice Davies of Albuquerque, his sister, Andrea Davies-Watson and her husband Barry Watson of Albuquerque, his nephews, Devonte Watson, Deon Watson, and his niece, Chevonne Watson, all of Albuquerque, brother-in-law, his aunts, Evelyn Frazier of Des Moines, IA and Mararet Cook of Seattle, WA, and his uncle, Jeroyd Evans and aunt, Lucy of KY. Visitation will be held Friday, May 18, 2012, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at God's House Church , 2335 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque. Service will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012, 10:00 am, at God's House Church, Albuquerque. Inurnment will take place on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at 3:00 pm, at Fairview Memorial Park.
