Michael Lee McWhorter

MCWHORTER - Michael Lee McWhorter, 52, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 in Albuquerque, NM. Mike was born in Socorro, NM to Frank and Lola McWhorter on August 5, 1958. He is survived by his loving wife of four years, Katharina McWhorter of Datil, NM; his devoted and loving sons, Trampus and Kade McWhorter and their mother, Carol Lee of Hondo, TX; his mother, Lola McWhorter of Socorro; two sisters, Linda Rosales and husband, Mario of Lemitar; and Cindy Curry and companion, Allen Rinehart of Alamogordo; one brother, Larry McWhorter of Socorro; his uncle, Dub McWhorter and wife, Becky; four nephews, Marty, Cecil, and Tommy Rosales; and Catlin Curry; one niece, Laraye Curry; and many other family members. Mike was a long time resident and rancher of Catron County, working for Quien Sabe Cattle Company for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, ranching, and fishing with his family and many friends. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Frank McWhorter. A Celebration of Mike’s Life will be held Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 12:00 P.M. at the McWhorter Residence in Datil.
