Michael "Mike" Torres

   Michael "Mike" Torres, 53, passed away on December 14, 2021 after a brave battle with Covid-19. He is survived by his fiancee, Marisa Garcia; his adored daughter, Isabella Grace Torres; stepson, Joshua Perez; father, Joe Torres; mother, Judy Leyba; siblings, Steven Torres (and family), Anthony Torres (and family), Ashley Leyba (husband Bo White and family); as well as numerous beloved family members.

   Mike was born on December 10, 1968 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After graduating from West Mesa High School he went on to work in the restaurant industry for over 30 years, leaving a lasting impression on each colleague he worked with. Mike made many friends over the years and genuinely cared for each one. Some of his interests included Raiders football, guitars, and music. He was a talented musician who played in a couple of rock bands in his younger years. Mike's true passion in life was being a father. He loved Isabella so much, and she was a true "daddy's girl."  He was a dedicated family man and was looking forward to marrying the love of his life, Marisa, after a devoted 12 years together.

   Mike was also a man of great faith. He read the Bible every day, and his love for the Lord was reflected in who he was and how he lived his life. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and each person whose life he touched.

   Services will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at 1:00 PM.  Daniels Family - Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Rd. SE Rio Rancho, NM 87124.  Masks Are Required.  Due to Covid-19 there will not be a reception.
