PAINTER- Michael Alan Painter, Jr. Michael passed away at his home on Tuesday, February 3, 2009. Michael was born in Spearfish, South Dakota, on March 9, 1985. He grew up as a child in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, where he graduated from Hot Springs High School, in 2003. He moved to Albuquerque, NM, to pursue his education in Engineering. Michael completed two years of college at the University of New Mexico. He then became an electrician for New Line Technology. He assisted in many areas of the church throughout his life with youth and young children. He loved to mentor people, but most of all show love to them. He attended First Family Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico, for many years where he actively served in the youth group ministry. Michael was a very creative, talented, and passionate person. His favorite passage was James 1:2-3 and loved to serve God more than anything. He leaves behind his parents, Mike & Betty Pierce of Belen, NM, and Mike Painter of Silver City, NM; two sisters and husbands, Jessica Barrera (Adam Barrera)of Rio Rancho, NM and Bethany Nunez (Arturo Nunez) of Albuquerque, NM; and his niece Analysa Nunez; and nephews, Austin & Corbin Barrera, and Nehemiah Nunez; his grandfather, Woodrow DeLany of Las Cruces, NM; his grandparents, Ross and Jane Painter of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and his girlfriend, Monica Padilla of Albuquerque, NM. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Nina DeLany; by his grandfather, Wilbur Pierce; by his uncle, Cliff DeLany. The memorial fund, "Michael A. Painter" has been set up at the Bank of Albuquerque in memory of Michael for his niece and nephews' college fund.
