Secatero, Michael S. "Shorty"
Age 80, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born in Alamo, NM on August 10, 1934, to Miguel and Mary Apachito Secatero. Michael was raised in Alamo and was a very hard working and generous man. He was a very loving and devoted family man who enjoyed hunting and especially enjoyed the time he spent camping with his family. Over the years Michael worked as a social worker, farmer, ranch hand, a law enforcement officer and pretty much a "Jack of all trades". He served on the Alamo Navajo School Board and was one of the first Tribal Leaders that helped start the first school in Alamo. Michael will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nora P. Secatero; daughter, Lucy Secatero; sons, Stevenson Secatero and Stuart Secatero; sisters, Rita Chavez and Rosalyn Francisco; grandson, Bradley Pratt. Michael is survived by his sons, Craig Secatero and wife, Jennifer, Greg Secatero and wife, Trudy, and Arnold Secatero and wife, Carol; daughter, Sandra Romero and husband, Larson; brother, William Secatero and wife Linda Tsosie, Billy Secatero and wife, Martha; grandchildren, Candis, Sumer and Keona Rain Secatero, Draven Bancroft, Camille, J.W. and Gabrielle Secatero, Miranda Stanley, Hannah Romero, Shallow, Railene, Shaelyn, Cody, Stuart, Stillwell, Stephanie and Samantha Secatero; great grandchildren, Marley Sweeney, Neveah Stanley, Chanci and Chole Pratt, Fabian and Hector Silva, Tristina Jose, Daryl Sena and Kai Key.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, 10:00 am, at the Word of God Church Alamo,NM. Interment to follow at the Word of God Cemetery, Alamo.
