Stith, Michael
Michael Stith, 69, passed away October 2, 2014. He was born November 20, 1944 in Washington, DC to Eula and Mike Stith. Michael is survived by his wife, Eve; brother, Blaine; 3 step-children; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and loved ones. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a step-son.
Michael and Eve were married for 26 crazy years, living in California, Colorado, and New Mexico. Michael was proud of his service in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a member of the Marine Corps League, the Marine Corps Association, and the American Legion. He retired from federal service, but continued to work as an armed security guard and managing self-storage facilities in New Mexico and Colorado.
Michael enjoyed the St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church community, and served in various ministries as lector, extraordinary minister, altar server, money counter, and was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
A Rosary will be recited Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM. Interment will be Monday, October 6, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM.
