Mike A. Sotomayor

Sotomayor , Mike Angel 94 passed away on August 2, 2012. He was born August 1, 1918 in Cananea, Sonora, Mexico to Jesus and Maclovia Sotomayor. Mike is survived by his wife Mary, daughter, Frances Vasquez, granddaughter, Teresa Herrera and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by eight bothers and sisters. He was married to his beloved wife, Mary, for 64 years and was a longtime resident of Heber, Arizona after his retirement form the Arizona Highway Department. Mike was a veteran of World War II and was a Surgical Technician during the India-Burma Campaign and gained his citizenship for service to his country. A Rosary will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2012, 7:00 pm at Melcher's Chapel of the Roses, 43 S. Stapley, Mesa, AZ. A Funeral Mass will be Thursday, August 9, 2012, 10:00 am at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 141 Macdonald St., Mesa, AZ. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, 7900 E.
