Mildred K. Foglesong

Foglesong, Mildred Kathleen (Wishon)
joined her beloved late husband, parents and sisters in heaven in the early morning of August 24, 2015. She is survived by her two sons, Robert S. Foglesong of Albuquerque, NM and James W. Foglesong and her grandson, Andrew J. Foglesong both from Carson City, NV along with her sister, Dixie Martin, of the Glades, OR and with many nieces and nephews in northern Missouri, Washington and Oregon.  Millie was born near Saline, MO to Lee and Sylvia (Sparks) Wishon the third of four daughters on August 10, 1925. She spent her early years in northern Missouri where she lived "The Grapes of Wrath" and married Jake W. Foglesong on February 13, 1943 and was dedicated to him for the next 69 plus years. She and Jake along with her two sons moved to Los Alamos in June of 1953, where she worked for LASL now known as LANL till her retirement in 1983.  She and Jake retired to a ten acre farm near the southern tip of Puget Sound, WA. After five years of hard work and reliving their youth, they returned to the sunshine of Albuquerque. She loved the sunshine. While in Los Alamos, she developed her love of nature along with becoming an avid skier, both downhill and cross country and enjoyed square dancing with her husband and friends.  She was hard working and tireless in her dedication to work and play. She was well respected by all whom knew her because of her sincere, warm and genuine personality. She will be sorrowfully missed.
