Mildred E. Haworth

HAWORTH- Mildred E. Haworth passed away May 20, 2011 at home at the age of 92. She is survived by two sons, Jamie Haworth of Rio Rancho, NM, Ron Haworth of Cobb, CA; one daughter, Sharon Kuykendall and husband Laverne of Monument, CO; four grandchildren, Ryan Haworth and wife Keesa of Rio Rancho, NM, Kim Kuykendall of Baltimore, MD, Linsey Kuykendall of Paris, France, Sierra Haworth of San Francisco, CA; two great-grand children of Rio Rancho; one sister-in-law, Geraldine Haworth of Eugene, OR; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Mildred was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Don Haworth; parents; sister, Phyllis Snyder; daughter-in-law, Kathy (Kay) Haworth. She was born October 29, 1918 to Hollie and Cora (Stebbins) Williams near Farnam, NE. She graduated from Farnam High School. On May 14, 1941 she married Don M. Haworth in Lexington, NE. In 1945, when Don returned from serving in WWII, the couple moved from Farnam to Potter, NE where they raised their family. They lived several years in Kimball, NE where she worked as a dental assistant. In 1967 they were transferred to Kiowa, KS. Upon Don’s retirement in 1980, they moved to Boise, ID. She remained there after Don’s death until 2003, at which time she moved to Rio Rancho, NM. Mildred’s life long loves included family, friends, travel, pets and nature. She never lost her sense of humor and never met a stranger. She will be missed. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, June 4, 2011, First Baptist Church of Rio Rancho, 3906 19th Avenue SE, Rio Rancho, NM.
