Age 87, passed away quietly on Friday, September 28, 2012, in her home surrounded by family. Mildred had a full and productive life, born November 16, 1924 in Montrose PA, married to Fiore Latini for 54 years, he preceded her in 2003. She was an intelligent, beautiful, strong woman who gave unconditionally to her family, friends and community; she will be greatly missed by many. She is survived by her 4 children; Col. Norman John Latini ret., Teresina Latini, Arnold, Ramona Latini-Biddle, and Fiore R Latini II; 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and her sister Charlotte Bullock. Mildred graduated from Penn State with a master��?�s degree in education. She began her career as a teacher in Pennsylvania and Nevada, and then moved to Albuquerque to spearhead the Dairy Council of NM, retired from the USDA/Cooperative Extension Service in 1986, working both in Washington State and New Mexico. She was a member of National Federation of Press Women (past president), American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences, listed in Who��?�s Who of American Women, Home Economist of the year 1989, Past President NM Public Relations Society of America, Past President NM Press Women, and many other voluntary organizations. Mildred will be laid to rest next to her husband. A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 2:00pm at Fairview Memorial Park, 700 Yale SE.
