Milward Pinckney, wife of Lucian W. Pinckney died on January 14, 2013 in Albuquerque, NM. Services will be private. Mrs. Pinckney was born August 15, 1930 at Charleston, South Carolina, a daughter of Colonel Alston Deas, USA Retired and Allen Sinkler Deas of Charleston. She was known throughout her life as Milly. She was graduated from the College of Charleston, Charleston, SC. She was an Episcopalian. Mrs. Pinckney was a former Director of Women�s Athletics at the College of Charleston, a Past President and Honorary Member of the College of Charleston Alumni Association, a member of Delta Delta Delta Fraternity, a member of The National Society of The Colonial Dames of America, the Ladies Benevolent Society of Charleston, the Junior League of Charleston and the Century Club of Charleston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lucian and Peter Pinckney Memorial Scholarship fund at the College of Charleston Foundation, 66 George Street, Charleston, South Carolina 29424. She is survived by her husband, Lucian Whitaker Pinckney, Lt. Col., USAF Retired. She was pre-deceased by two sons, Lucian Whitaker Pinckney, Jr. and Peter Gilman Pinckney.
