Modesto G. Gutierrez

Modesto Gene �MG� Gutierrez, age 70, of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord on Friday 2/28/2014. Gene is survived by son Gene Gutierrez Jr (Annette Gallegos), daughter Michelle Gutierrez-Sotelo, sisters Nadine Gutierrez-Abq, Anita Candelaria-Manteca, Ca, Cristella Gutierrez-Santa Clara, Ca and brother in law Nasario Gutierrez-Abq, mother of his children Marcia Furnas, grandchildren Adrian Gutierrez (and mother Jenny Tanny), Merissa Sotelo, Daniel Sotelo Jr, Alexis and Breanna Sotelo (and father Daniel Sotelo Sr) and many nephews, nieces and godchildren. He was preceded in death by parents Natividad and Celina �Sally� Gutierrez, brother Jose Licarito Gutierrez, sister Rose Gutierrez and brother in law Ramon Candelaria. Gene was a US Army veteran and retired from the City of Albuquerque. Gene was a loving and devoted son, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was a jack-of-all-trades who unselfishly gave of himself to all. He will be missed dearly by his family, friends and neighbors. Gene and Michelle would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support for their father these past months. A rosary will be recited at Daniels funeral home, 7601 Wyoming Bld NE, on Friday 3/7/2014 at 7:00pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Shrine Of St Bernadette,, 11509 Indian School Rd NE Saturday 3/8/2014 at 9:00am, Interment following mass at Mount Calvary cemetery, 1900 Edith NE, Abq. Pallbearers are Tony Leos, Adrian Gutierrez, Daniel Sotelo Jr, Nasario Gutierrez Jr, Adam Gutierrez, and Louie Candelaria. Honorary Pallbearer Is Bert Gutierrez.
