Monica Jean Davis, "MJ" to her friends, 68, beloved sister and dedicated RN, went home to her Heavenly Father on January 27, 2015. MJ was born in Los Angeles, CA, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of New Mexico in 1986. She worked as an Oncology/Hospice nurse for 30 years in both Bernalillo and Cibola counties. She had a passion for her patients and was known for her outstanding quality and compassionate care.

MJ had a great love for all of nature and animals. She also enjoyed hiking, reading, and music. She had a great sense of humor and a deep faith in God.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and is survived by a brother, Jim Fleschner of Fountain Valley, CA; sisters Fran Rollins of Sacramento, CA  and children; Debbie Axelrod and daughter of Escondido, CA; sister-in-law Raschel Fleschner and children of Anaheim, CA; nephew Steve Fleschner and wife, Julie, and children of Corona, CA; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and hundreds of friends who loved her dearly. She was lovingly cared for in her last illness at the home of her dear friend, Debra Sayres-Thomen, and by her friend Russell Parker. At her request, there will be no services following cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society of New Mexico
