Monte Lee Newsom

NEWSOM, Monte Lee Newsom, 80, passed away May 24, 2011. Monte was born in Shawnee Oklahoma and moved to Albuquerque in 1933. He owned and operated Electric Supply Company from 1970’s-1988. Monte was a lifetime member of the Albuquerque Boat Club and member of the Executive Association of Greater Albuquerque. A wonderful family man, who will be missed by all who knew him and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Eunice; three children, Rick Paquin and his wife Nicolette of Colorado Springs; Pam Green and her husband Larry; and Lee Newsom of Albuquerque; four grandchildren, Chris Green, Brian Green, Danee Newsom and Darby Newsom; and sister, Dana Newsom Swensen. Services will be held on Friday, May 27, 2011 at 9:30a.m. in the Carlisle Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Service with interment to follow at Sandia Memory Gardens. 9500 San Pedro Dr. NE. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Boy’s & Girl’s Ranch in Monte’s name would be preferred.
