Nadine Loetzer

February 17, 1922 — May 2, 2019

Nadine Goodrich Patrick Loetzer, an Albuquerque resident from 1956 until her move to Rio Rancho in the 1980s, passed away in Rio Rancho on May 2, 2019.  She is survived by sons Gregg K Patrick, Scott G Patrick and Garry L Poe, and daughter, Dale P Curtis and their spouses, as well as step-daughters Patti Dougherty and Jil Konopacki and spouses, niece Carrie Compton and spouse, nephews George, Robert and Charles Zeier and spouses, cousin Gerald Goodrich, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.  Born February 17, 1922, in a farmhouse near Rapelje, MT, to Glen W Goodrich and Pearl Warden Goodrich, she graduated high school in Bozeman, MT in 1940.  During WWII, she was a telephone operator, working the switchboards on Pearl Harbor Day.  Her loving marriage to Emmett E Patrick began August 21, 1947, and ended with his passing June 6, 1994.

Subsequently, she married Stanley T Loetzer June 16, 1998, but was again widowed when he passed on February 9, 2002.  Her companion Paul V Greenfield provided another loving relationship from December 2012 to November 2014.

 

Following her move to Albuquerque, she was active in Immanuel Presbyterian Church, the Sanado Women’s Club and several flower clubs.  As her children grew, she served as a Brownie Scout leader, Cub Scout den mother, and Mother Advisor to Rainbow Girls Friendship Assembly 50.  Nadine was a member of the Lily of the Valley Eastern Star chapter in Bozeman, MT and the Eastern Star Turquoise chapter in Rio Rancho.

 

As a woman of strong faith, Nadine was a founding member of the Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church and served at various times as choir member, and the women’s association treasurer, president and chair of several committees.

Until failing health and eyesight prevented her from doing so, she provided organization and food for countless church receptions and celebrations.

 

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM May 18, 2019, in the Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church, 1004 24th St SE, Rio Rancho.  In lieu of flowers, it is requested donations be made in memory of her service to the Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church or charity of choice.
