Naomi Ruth Spicer

Spicer, Naomi Ruth 86, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, February 4, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was a resident of Socorro Village since moving to Socorro, NM in 2000. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husbands, Kenneth Roller and Edward Spicer, and her brothers, Kenneth and Max Allen. Naomi is survived by her devoted daughters, Jane Apps and husband, Gilbert of Socorro, NM; and Jill Robinson and husband, James of Loudonville, OH; numerous grandchildren also will remember her with love, Janel Ramsey and husband, Baird; Damon Apps; Kenneth Walters and wife, Susie; James Paul Robinson and wife, Opal; Lacy Jo Pollock and husband, Luke; her great grandchildren, Jared and Tyler Walters; Chance Robinson; Thaddeus, Judson, Preston and Seth Pollock; and Elliot Dean Apps; her sisters, Lelah May Dwyer and husband, Michael; Laurel Hildebrandt and husband, Marion; her brother, Russel Allen and wife, Phyllis; and many nieces, nephews, friends and other family members. She was born on a farm in rural Michigan, during WWII and was a "Rosie the Riveter", installing rivets in wings for B-24 bombers. She married, had two children and was a Laboratory Technician for Gladwin Hospital and loving wife and mother. She attended the First Presbyterian Church in Socorro faithfully. She will be missed. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 10:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church, 304 McCutcheon Ave., Socorro, NM with Rev. Laura Finch and Rev. Jeff Finch officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions or donations may be given in Naomi's honor to Presbyterian Hospice of Socorro or the First Presbyterian Church of Socorro.
